Medical Conditions - Patellar Maltracking Syndrome

Patellar maltracking syndrome is a disorder of the knee joint. Ideally, the knee cap slides over the head of the thighbone on a part called the trochlear grove in a predetermined fashion to make the knee movement smooth. For those with an alignment problem in this design, the patella has a tendency to slide to the sides and get dislocated often. It results in frequent knee buckling, pain, swelling, and dislocation of the knees.
