Medical Conditions - Pemphigus

Pemphigus is a rare skin disorder having blistering on the skin and mucus membranes. The most common type is pemphigus vulgaris, where painful sores and blisters appear on the skin and mouth. It often occurs when the immune system mistakenly makes antibodies against proteins in healthy skin. This condition is managed by taking steroids with immunosuppressant medications.
