Medical Conditions - Picosecond Laser

A laser machine that is used to target tattoos (exogenous ink particles) or endogenous pigmentation is called a picosecond laser. These are mainly indicated for tattoo removal, other uses are in case of acne scarring, melasma, solar lentigines, photoaging, etc. These are relatively contraindicated in individuals with a darker skin tone. The potential side effects associated with the use of picosecond lasers are edema, redness, pain, blistering, scarring, etc.
