Pineal tumors are abnormal growths, in the shape of a small pine cone seen in the pineal gland, which is located in the deep portion of the brain. It can be benign or malignant and manifest many neurological symptoms like headache, vision problems, and hormonal imbalances. To confirm the diagnosis, often biopsy and imaging studies are performed. Treatment involves radiation therapy or surgical removal of the tumor.
