Plaster splints are a widely used aid by orthopedic doctors in immobilizing and stabilizing musculoskeletal injuries. The medical-grade plaster splint can be kept on the injured area till the bones heal and inflammation subsides. Unlike a plaster cast, the plaster splint only covers one side of the injured part, and the rest of the portion is tightly attached to it with straps or bandages.
