Environmental pollution is primarily of four types—air, water, land, and noise. Pollution is caused by harmful and waste pollutants. Based on the types of pollutants, there are several forms of pollution like light pollution, plastic pollution, thermal, radioactive, etc. Pollution adversely affects the life span and quality of all living beings. In humans, it causes various health concerns. Air pollution can deplete the ozone layer and cause various lung diseases. Noise pollution causes hearing loss, high blood pressure and affects sleep quality. Water contamination leads to contagious diseases and death. Land or soil pollution affects the food web and cultivation.
