Polyphagia is excessive and unsatiating hunger leading to overeating. The hunger would not subside even after having enough food. Conditions causing polyphagia include stress, hypoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, unhealthy diet, premenstrual syndrome, and diabetes. Only upon the correction of these conditions, the polyphagia will subside.
