Pulmonary function tests, also called PFTs, are tests performed to measure your lungs' capacity and to know how well they work. It measures how well a person is able to breathe and how effective the lungs are in delivering oxygen to the rest of the body. This test is indicated when a person is suffering from symptoms of lung problems.
