Reflux oesophagitis is a condition of having oesophageal mucous injury secondary to the reflux of gastric contents to the esophagus. The other causes are infections, allergies, and oral medications. It is managed by taking medication that reduces acid production for the cause of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
