Medical Conditions - Retained Milk Teeth

Retained milk teeth are milk teeth that did not fall out at their shedding age. This leads to the absence of a permanent tooth to replace it. However, sometimes the permanent teeth may be pushed in a different direction and cause malalignment requiring an orthodontic correction in the future. Hence it is generally advised to extract the retained milk teeth professionally, making attempts to bring the permanent tooth to its position.
