Rhinosporidiosis is a rare, granulomatous infection caused by a parasite called Rhinosporidium seerberi. It clinically manifests as friable vascular polyps that arise from the external structures of the eye and nasal mucosa. Surgical excision of the vascular polyps is the treatment of choice used in rhinosporidiosis.
