Inflammation in the sacroiliac joints is known as sacroiliitis. It affects one or both of the sacroiliac joints. Symptoms of the condition include pain in the lower back and the legs. The pain gets worse after standing for a long time or after rotating the hips. Common causes of sacroiliitis are osteoarthritis, trauma, pregnancy, psoriatic arthritis, pyogenic sacroiliitis, etc. Most people affected by sacroiliitis are advised physiotherapy.
