Medical Conditions - Serum Alkaline Phosphatase Levels

Serum alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme present in a person's blood. It helps in breaking proteins and plays an important role in liver function and bone development. An ALP test is a simple blood test done to measure ALP levels present in the blood. The normal range of ALP in the blood is 20 to 140 U/L. High alkaline phosphatase levels usually indicate liver damage or bone marrow disorder.
