In Stokes-Adams syndrome, there is recurrent fainting where intermittent heart block or arrhythmia leads to loss or inadequate blood flow to the brain. A paroxysmal shift in the mechanism of the heartbeat is the cause of this blockage. A cardiac pacemaker is the treatment modality for this condition.
