Medical Conditions - Thyroiditis

Thyroiditis is a condition presenting with inflammation in the thyroid, causing an imbalance (more or less) in the production of thyroid hormones. Thyroiditis occurs in three phases, such as thyrotoxic phase, euthyroid phase, and hypothyroid phase. Fatigue, depression, and weight gain are some symptoms seen in thyroiditis. Beta-blockers help to treat hyperthyroidism, and thyroid hormone replacement helps to treat hypothyroidism.
