Toxoplasmosis is an infection that occurs due to the Toxoplasma gondii parasite. It occurs by eating contaminated raw foods and exposure to infected cat feces. It can cause serious effects on the infant when the mother is affected. The symptoms are headache, swollen lymph nodes, and sore throat. It is prevented by proper cooking of raw foods and washing all the utensils used for cooking raw meats.
