Transitional cell carcinoma is the most common type of bladder cancer. The exact cause of transitional cell carcinoma is still unknown. As cancer grows, it may cause blood in the urine, persistent back pain, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, and painful or frequent urination. Current treatments for transitional cell carcinoma include endoscopic resection, segmental resection, and nephroureterectomy.
