Medical Conditions - Turbinates

Turbinates are small bony structures inside the nose that helps cleanse, warm, and humidify the air that passes through the nasal cavity. Exposure to infections, irritation, or allergies results in inflammation or swelling of turbinates. Nasal antihistamine sprays and nasal corticosteroids are used to treat swollen turbinates.
