Medical Conditions - Tympanometry

Tympanometry is an investigation procedure to test the middle ear function. It uses a tympanogram to record its results. It measures the eardrum movement, which is facilitated by a change in air pressure within the ear. A probe tip is inserted into the external ear, and sounds with varied tones are created to which the eardrum vibrates. This procedure hardly takes 2 minutes.
