Medical Conditions - Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Type 1 diabetes mellitus is an autoimmune condition, where the body is incapable of producing enough insulin to control blood glucose levels. It results in reduced or no production of insulin, as the body’s immune system attacks the cells in the pancreas. This condition can be managed by Insulin therapy only.
