Tyrosine kinase inhibitors are drugs that inhibit tyrosine kinase. Tyrosine kinase is an enzyme that is responsible for the activation of proteins, cell growth, and division. And these enzymes can be too active in certain types of cancer so blocking them helps prevent cancer cells from growing. Some of the examples of tyrosine kinase inhibitors include Axitinib, Dasatinib, Erlotinib, and Pazopanib.
