The ulnar collateral ligament is present on the inner part of the elbow that keeps the joint in its place. Although a ligament tear requires surgical intervention and graft placement, certain injuries may heal nonsurgically. However, the location and the severity of the injury must be taken into consideration. Low-grade injuries may heal with proper rest and therapy. It is usually treated by Tommy John Surgery.
