An ultrasound scan is a diagnostic test that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the organs and structures inside the body. It can be used to diagnose conditions affecting the bladder, kidneys, prostate, liver, testicles, ovaries, spleen, pancreas, thyroid, gallbladder, uterus, etc. As it does not use any radiation, it is mostly used to view the developing fetus during pregnancy.
