Uremia is a clinical syndrome characterized by high concentrations of urea in the blood and associated with fluid, electrolyte, and hormone imbalances and metabolic anomalies. Uremia more typically develops with chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly in the later stages. The treatment includes medication, dialysis and kidney transplant surgery.
