Medical Conditions - Uterine Anomalies

Uterine anomalies are the malformations of the uterus (womb) that are present from birth. During the embryonic development of the female fetus, the uterus develops as two separate halves and then fuses together in the later stages of growth and development. When there is an issue in this development in-utero, it results in a uterine anomaly. Most women with uterine anomalies do not have any symptoms. About 25 percent of patients with a history of recurrent miscarriages or premature delivery are found with the condition.
