Medical Conditions - Uveitis

"Uveitis refers to an inflammation of the eye's middle layer called the uvea. Uveitis may result from an infection, eye injury, eye surgery, or an autoimmune or inflammatory disease. People with uveitis may experience blurred vision, light sensitivity, eye pain, vision loss, dark, floating shapes in the field of vision loss. Untreated uveitis can lead to blindness and other eye problems like glaucoma, cataracts, and optic nerve damage. Anti-inflammatory medicines, eye drops, antibiotics, antivirals or antifungals, and immunosuppressants may help treat uveitis. "
