An antibiotic called vancomycin, a glycopeptide is used to treat many bacterial infections. It is advised intravenously to treat complex skin infections, bloodstream infections, endocarditis, bone and joint infections, and meningitis brought on by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
