Medical Conditions - Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, is a water-soluble vitamin present naturally in certain foods, added to others, and available in the form of dietary supplements. Vitamin B6 is essential for the normal development of the brain and the health of the nervous system and immune systems. Natural food sources include fish, potatoes, poultry, chickpeas, bananas, and fortified cereals. Deficiency causes skin rashes, sore and cracked lips, glossy tongue, mood changes, weakened immunity, tiredness, tingling in hands and feet, and seizures.
