Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that helps in the absorption of calcium in the body. The sources of vitamin D are sunlight, cord liver oil, cheese, egg yolks, fatty fish (tuna and salmon), etc. Insufficient vitamin D in the diet and less sun exposure can cause rickets.
