It is a harmless yellow bump near or on the eyelid skin. On touching, it is semi-solid or chalky. This condition can occur due to high cholesterol levels. Cholesterol build-up in various forms on the skin. People between the age of 20 to 70 are more commonly prone to this condition. Chemical peel or surgical removal is done to get rid of the build-up of xanthelasma.
