How to manage acid reflux and dysphagia at 26?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. First, I would like to reassure you that dysphagia and reflux symptoms are prevalent and more common than esophageal cancer. I want to reassure you that this is very unlikely to be esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer is more common in older patients who have a history of smoking and or alcohol abuse. In patients with reflux symptoms, those symptoms are usually longstanding and progress to Barrett's esophagus before any cancer develops.

Why do I get bleeding from the nose frequently?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Do you have any medical problems that we should know about? How old are you? Are you exposed to any environmental stimulants (irritating chemicals, etc.)? Most often, a bleeding nose is not concerning, but it should be evaluated if it is happening regularly. How much blood is coming out? A teaspoon? Is it always one nostril? You can certainly start using a saline nasal spray three to four times a day in each nostril. You can also put some Vaseline in each nose before you go to sleep at night.

I feel like something is stuck in my throat associated with acidity. Kindly advice.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Have you been back to your doctor after he recommended Pantoprazole? I think that you need to have an upper endoscopy to look at your esophagus and what is causing this problem. It sounds like you may have a Zenker's diverticulum. This is an outpouching of the lining of the esophagus. There are treatment options for this, but you have to Consult a gastroenterologist who may be able to fix the problem through the endoscopy.

What does it indicate when my T3 and T4 are normal but my TSH is 8.5?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. What was the reason that you had your thyroid checked? Do you have a history of thyroid disease? Have you had your cholesterol checked? The number you provided is consistent with subclinical hypothyroidism. That is a low function of your thyroid that would not account for your low body weight. We usually do not do anything about these findings except to monitor them. I would recommend that you have your thyroid checked again in one to two years.
