Dr. Shrikant Ega is an Orthopedician. He completed his MBBS from the BJ medical college in Pune. He subsequently obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Orthopedics from the prestigious Madurai Medical College, one of the oldest government institutions in India and the alma matter of a line of surgical stalwarts. He subsequently ranked among the top ten in the National Board entrance examination. He chose the Indian Spinal Injuries Center, New Delhi - a tertiary referral center for spine surgeries and rehabilitation - as his Diplomate of National Board (DNB) institute. After obtaining his DNB, he has inducted as a National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) member. He gained further academic experience as an assistant professor at the Kamineni Medical College in Nalgonda. Subsequently, he secured a rank in the top merit list for the National Board of Examination accredited spine fellowships (FNB), the only MCI-recognized fellowship in India. He chose MIOT International (Chennai), an apex institution for spine and orthopedic surgery for the FNB. He has eight years of experience and expertise in treating neck and back problems, including anterior surgeries, tumors, deformity correction, spinal TB, and revision surgeries. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive spine surgeries. He regularly updates himself by attending CMEs, conferences, and training courses.
