Dr. Vikash Paudel is a board-certified Dermatologist, Venereologist, and Dermatosurgeon with ten years of clinical experience. Being a scholar of the Ministry of Education, Nepal, and a Graduate of the Institute of Medicine, he has also completed one month of International Fellowship Training Course of Dermatology at Seoul National University Hospital. Currently, he is an Associate Professor and In-charge of the dermatology department at National Medical College, Birgunj. He is also a recipient of many prestigious national and international awards, including the prestigious World Congress of Dermatology Rising Star in Milan in 2019 and Fellowship in Pediatric infectious disease in WSPID 2020 in Manila. He published research papers and articles in national and international peer-reviewed indexed journals. He is also a peer reviewer in a few national and international peer reviewed journals. He had attended and presented papers in many dermatological workshops, seminars, and conferences even abroad. Being a member of the editorial board of Medphoenix, an official journal of NMCTH, and the Journal of Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists of Nepal, he is also involved in promoting scientific research in Nepal. As a certified trainer of much clinical training like Primary Trauma Care, Mid Level Practicum, Severe Acute Malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, and Tuberculosis, which are focussed on training health professionals, medical officers, nurses, paramedics, he served in rural areas of Nepal. In addition, he conducted many free general health camps and specialty camps in different corners of Nepal and abroad. During his early medical career, he managed different clinical cases relating to HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, leprosy, and many tropical diseases. Now, he is interested in philanthropic activities, social works, and guiding medical students and interns.
