Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I started to bleed during intercourse. Why so? I had sex almost after three years. I am quite worried.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and can understand your concern.
There are multiple reasons to have vaginal bleeding during sex:
1. Infection in the vagina can cause bleeding itself or lead to dryness and cause bleeding during sex. Take a tablet of Doxycycline 100mg twice a day after food for five days to prevent infection.
2. Dryness, infection, improper foreplay, dehydration, age factor, and hormonal imbalance. Drink adequate water for good lubrication.
3. Forceful sex.
4. Normal menstrual bleeding (you may have an early period).
5. Benign or malignant polyp.
7. Vaginismus (fear during sex causes muscles in the genitalia to contract and cause pain).
8. Eczema.
9. Deep penetration in a few positions during sex.
10. History of surgery.
Kindly share more details regarding the above reason, and we can work on diagnosis and management.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.
