Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I tested positive for pregnancy in the clinic. Then after I took Misopristn and Misoprostol for abortion, but I did not feel anything. Then I did a urine test again at home and it was negative. The next day I went to the scanning center there with the same result.I read that some cases are there in which after all negative results they are still pregnant. I do not need a child at this very early age. I am 19 years married. Kindly help
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I read your query and understand your concern. It appears that you are still pregnant because you did not bleed even after taking these two pills. Well, the urine test does not turn positive till late in the pregnancy but you could have done a serum pregnancy test instead of these two unnecessary urine pregnancies and a complete abdominopelvic scan which is obviously unable to detect an early pregnancy. It still showed a thick endometrium suggesting a likely pregnancy. So now you have to do a serum beta HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin)test, the results you will get on the same day and then if negative then wait and watch for the bleeding to ensue but if it turns out to be positive then it confirms your pregnancy and then you can decide what to do. I hope this helps you, feel free to get back for more queries.
Thank you.
