Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My first abortion was done last year. After that, continuously including these, five abortions are done. This month, only my previous abortion was done. After the third abortion, I gained more weight. Now I am looking like eight months pregnant. After the fourth abortion, I went scanning, and the doctor told me there was no fault inside. That abortion kit's name is Unwanted Kit.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I am sorry for your loss. You should complete an evaluation to find the cause for these losses instead of facing another loss. A few more facts like your age, occupation, any medical problem in self or family, consanguinity, surgeries, diabetes, semen report, height and weight, scan report, during the pregnancies, gestational age, and so on would have been helpful to advise.

You have a high potential to get pregnant, so you had five pregnancies in 1 year. But there is some problem after that.

Give at least a three-month gap before the next try (some underlying cause may be there, may get corrected on its own).

Have a Tablet of Folic acid for one month before the next attempt.

Investigate with

1. Fasting and Postprandial Blood sugars.

2. HbA1c.

3. Thyroid profile.

4. ANA profile (Antinuclear Antibody profile).

5. Anti Cardiolipin Antibody (ACA).

6. Lupus anticoagulant (LA- IgG & IgM).

7. aPTT (activated Partial thromboplastin time).

You will have abnormal values in four to seven tests if I am right. All these problems can be corrected. I am sure you will have a healthy and great pregnancy and baby next time once you have a planned pregnancy after fixing the problem.

I hope I have clarified your query, do write back if any more queries.

All the best.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
