Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 41 years old. My height is 5.5 feet, and my weight is 180 pounds. Recently, I went through some regular health check-ups where my echo result was normal, and the x-ray result was also shown normally. My investigation reports FBS 94 mg/dL, PPBS 103 mg/dL. Cholesterol 165, HDL 65 mg/dL, LDL 83 mg/dL, TGL 84 mg/dL, VLDL 17 mg/dL. Homocysteine 39.87 umol/L. ECG result has shown normal. No complaints.
However, our cardiologist suggested we go through angiography. The patient was prescribed Clopid 75 mg, vitamin B complex, B1- 5 mg, Atorvastatin 20 mg, and Omeprazole 20 mg. Kindly go through my reports and suggest to me whether I should go through angiography or not.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I do not think there is any need for angiography. You should upload your ECG (electrocardiogram) for better interpretation. You have just uploaded the upper part of ECG, a machine-generated report that is frequently incorrect. In the machine-generated report, nonspecific T wave changes are mentioned, which can be present normally and do not necessarily imply heart disease. Also, your echo is normal. Next, you should undergo a treadmill test, which will detect ECG changes, if any, during exertion, and if normal, then there is absolutely no need. Since your homocysteine is high, you should undergo vitamin B12 and folic acid levels, a deficiency of which may lead to this.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
