Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 37 year old female. I am reaching out with a concern regarding persistent body odor that I have been experiencing recently. I have noticed that the odor is not only present under my arms but also in other areas of my body. It is affecting my confidence and daily interactions. I have tried various over-the-counter deodorants and antiperspirants, but they seem to provide only temporary relief. Please provide its causes and treatment options for managing this body odor issue.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com. I can understand your concern. Body odor depends on various hormones affecting our sweat level, also depends on diet your taking, which metabolizes to create substances resulting in chemical producing odors, Also, You are more likely to have body odor when your sweat comes from apocrine glands, which release sweat from hair follicles found in the armpits, groin, and pubic area. Sweat from these glands, produced when you're hot or stressed, contain fats and other compounds that smell when broken down by bacteria.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk tot hem and take the medications accordingly.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
