What is the treatment for anxiety spectrum disorders?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 34-year-old female suffering from vertigo for 7 years. I have taken many treatments for vertigo, and nothing worked. It was confirmed with a neurologist that I do not have this problem anymore and this can be anxiety or phobia of imbalance or feeling of falling from last 7 years. I have been suffering from cervical spondylosis, and I am taking tablets Mexito plus 5mg, Samotol 5mg, Valkem 250 mg, Vertipride, and multivitamin supplements. I have also had my lab investigations done for CBC, prolactin, LH, thyroid, LFT, RFT, sugar profile, and urine tests. I am concerned if I am taking the right treatment. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Anxiety spectrum disorder can present with such symptoms and your condition can be resolved. I advise you follow the below mentioned suggestions:

  1. Drink two glasses of water (at room temperature) at morning before standing up from bed.
  2. Practice meditation daily for at least half an hour in the morning, which can help you relax and ease your anxiety.
  3. Take plenty of fluids and take a balanced diet. Banana and coconut water are beneficial.
  4. Give at least one hour daily for your hobbies to vent out your daily stress.
  5. Kindly consult a specialist, for proper evaluation, treatment plan and change of medication accordingly.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
