Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My mother-in-law has been prescribed Fasenra injection as she has had asthma for a long time. Please advise on its usage or any specific considerations we should know while she takes this medication. She has been taking steroids for a long time. Can these both create some reaction? She stopped taking steroids for two days as she was feeling better. Can she take Fasenra and steroids together?
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Allergies can never be cured completely. The only solution is to get protected from allergies, and symptoms will not appear. Whenever you are in contact with allergens, there is a chance you will have asthmatic symptoms, so the best way is to prevent allergens. And about the particular drug, you are talking about Fasenra (Benralizumab). It has excellent action on all hypersensitive reactions, preventing asthma by suppressing allergic reactions. It is suitable for asthma and will have reasonable control of symptoms.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
