Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I accidentally hit my three-month-old on her soft spot with a phone while I was feeding her. She did not cry so I did not think much about it. However, I have noticed a small bulge on her soft spot. Later she was quite fussy with the feeds and did not sleep at all. After a day, the bulge subsided on its own. She is a very calm baby, but she has been very irritated and crying a lot since then. Feeding, urine, and motion are normal but the day sleeping is changed. It has been three days since this happened, should I get her physically evaluated? Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

It is good to know that feeding and passing urine or motion is normal. If the fussiness does not reduce after a couple of days, I would advise you to consult a nearby pediatrician for a detailed evaluation.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Are there any chances of injury, she didn't cry. Does soft spot injury hurt?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If the feeding is normal, then there are very few chances that your baby got injured.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

The baby is not fussy but, she wakes up from sleep and starts crying in a high pitch. Today, she has woken up nearly five times and only sleeps for five to ten minutes. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It could be normal for the age of your baby. I also advise you to watch for other symptoms. If you notice any difference in the behavior of the baby, like not taking feed properly, consult a pediatrician.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
