Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I got my last periods two months back. So I took a beta hCG test which came back negative. We consulted a doctor and he gave me a tablet of Meprate 10 mg for 5 days. Later I started having back and abdominal pain. Is this because of the tablet?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your case and I understand your concern. I hope you have taken Meprate 10 mg twice daily for 5 days. Usually after completing this course periods will come within 2 to 7 days and spasmodic pain may occur which is like premenstrual lower abdomen pain. If it is not spasmodic then it will not be related to Meprate. For that pain, you can take the tablet Cyclopalm whenever needed, and please mention when you have started Meprate and when you have stopped it.
I hope this helps.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I took Meprate 10 mg for 5 days. When will I get my period?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
If the blood beta hCG test is negative then it means there is no pregnancy. As you have stopped Meprate after 5 days, periods should come within a week. So do not get stressed, you will have your periods by the end of this week.
I hope this helps.
