Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
For six years, I have had a brown spot on my penis. This spot is exactly where I place my fingers during masturbation. This spot does not hurt, does not change in size, and does not itch. It does turn a bit red when I rub over it, and then it turns brown again if I leave it alone. I have tried to masturbate differently for a few months now, but the spot remains. What can I do about this?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It appears to be a post-inflammatory scar mark or penile melanosis. Avoid rough handling. Avoid chronic friction. Attach a clinical image to assess the lesion. So, I can guide you.
I hope this helps you.

Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
So, would you recommend any ointments?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
No need to worry. It is nothing major and just a benign lesion. No treatment is required. If there is a cosmetic concern, a CO2 (carbon dioxide) resurfacing laser can be tried. Maintain proper hygiene. Use Episoft cleanser (purified water and Cetearyl alcohol) or no soap cleanser daily for two months to clean the genital area. Antioxidant tablet once daily after dinner for 30 days. Apply Azelaic acid 10 percent cream mixed with water-based moisturizer and apply on the concerned spot for ten days. If it burns, stop the application of Azelaic acid. Avoid scratching and rubbing. Avoid fragrance-based lotions or soaps. Avoid harsh soaps or chemicals. Avoid rough handling. Avoid frequent masturbation.
I hope this helps you.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thanks for the reply.
Do you have any idea of how long it will take before it will start fading away? Because I have had this for over six years now, and I really want to get rid of it.
Please suggest.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It will take time to fade. If there is a cosmetic concern, get it removed by laser.
I hope this helps you.
