Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a situation where my chest hurts a lot whenever I breathe or move, then it goes away after a few days and does not come back till a few months. It has been going on for a year now, and it happened today as well. But today, my throat is also hurting, and it feels like I have been screaming but all I have done today is running as I ran to make it on time to school. The same thing also happens around my left ribcage, hip, and obliques, where there is pain whenever I move, but this one lasts for about a week then goes and also does not come back for a few months. Should I feel concerned, or is it normal? Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have acute chest syndrome. I suggest you get a chest X-ray and send me the reports for better suggestions. Also, I suggest you take the following medicines:

  • Tablet Celecoxib (Celebrex) 200mg twice a day orally.
  • Tablet Vasoprin (Isosorbide Mononitrate and Aspirin) 75mg once a day orally.
  • Tablet Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) 500mg thrice a day orally.
  • Tablet Diclofenac 100mg twice a day orally.
  • Capsule Co-Amoxiclav (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625mg twice a day orally.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment. I hope you find the above suggestions helpful.

Thank you.
