Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
For the past ten months, I have been experiencing cervical mucus, which is sometimes white and sometimes yellow, but not in large quantities. Additionally, I often have intestinal gas and loud bowel movements usually occur before defecation. In the beginning, I had abdominal discomfort, and though it occasionally happens for a month, my stomach does not hurt. I experience these symptoms three to four times a month, and they do not worsen. Sometimes, the stool is hard initially, then becomes softer, but generally, it is normal. There are instances where one half of the stool is browner than the other, but overall, it is a normal brown color. There is no presence of blood, and I generally feel well. When these symptoms started ten months ago, I underwent blood and stool tests, both of which yielded negative results. What does this indicate? I suspect it might be IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).
Please provide guidance.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for reaching out to iCliniq. I am very sorry about your medical condition. Do not worry; I am here to take care of you. I do not think you have any abdominal problems other than abdominal rumbling, which is a noisy sound, possibly due to gas or constipation that releases gas. Please eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I do not think it is IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) because IBS presents with abdominal pains, diarrhea, and constipation.
I hope this helps. Schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.
Thanks for using icliniq, and have a nice day.
