How to get periods timely?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have not had my periods for three months. For the last two months, due to strain, I saw a drop after exercise; after that, there was no flow. Please give me a tablet so that I can get my periods soon and regularly.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Do not worry I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed an oligomenorrhoea, which is a small menses flow due to hormone imbalance or pregnancy. I would suggest you do a hormone profile and pregnancy test and reply to me with the result. Meanwhile, please kindly take the following to induce your menstrual cycle if the pregnancy test is negative:

1. Take tablet Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg orally three times a day for 30 days.

2. Take Norethisterone 5 mg.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

Thank you.
