Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had unprotected sex but there was no ejaculation. Then I took an I-pill on the same day. But now my period is delayed. There is little to no cervical mucus discharge. Should I be scared of pregnancy?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to the icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Chances of pregnancy are very unlikely if no penetration or ejaculation happened near the vagina. In your case, since you have taken the emergency contraceptive pill so you are safe and chances of pregnancy are very unlikely.
Another thing, after taking an emergency contraceptive pill, it is not necessary that someone gets withdrawal bleeding. So you should wait for the next period's date. It can get irregular due to emergency contraceptive pills in some cases.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and regards.
