What is the treatment for allergic reaction on hands?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have an issue related to my hands. It all started when I excessively washed my hands during COVID-19. I had an allergy reaction at first which I do not remember well but it was not good so at that time I used petroleum jelly. Since my family could not afford a dermatologist. But, when I went to the bank they told me that fingerprint verification was impossible due to lines on my fingerprints. So, I went to a dermatologist and after some time she made a diagnosis and told me that I had hand eczema, but she recommended me expensive lotion and an olive oil which I used and my skin got better but the treatment was too expensive. Also, at that time when I visited a dermatologist, the problem was not only lines on my hands but small bumps on my fingers which were annoying. Also, the hand color got changed and I felt that my hands swelled. I also discussed this issue with a pharmacist and he said that a formula recommended by a dermatologist could solve my problem. Also, even though I use gloves to wash dishes and clothes I still feel itching on my hands and sometimes small bumps appear.
Thanks.
