My wife is in her eighth week of pregnancy now. Yesterday, we went for a scan and received a report stating that the gestational sac and yolk sac were seen, but the fetal pole was not visible. We are unsure of what to do. Does the heartbeat typically appear in the ninth week? Should we wait for another week? In the ultrasound scan report, the gestational sac measures 0.75 inches, which corresponds to an age of seven weeks and two days, but there is no fetal pole visible. Should I wait for another week?
