How can I manage my sleeping issues and brain fog?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have recently changed my diet and sleeping habits, and due to my job in prison, my stress levels have escalated dramatically. I have had tiredness, short-term memory, concentration issues, sleeping issues, feelings of dis-reality, etc. It seems as though brain fog is caused by inflammation.

I have had blood tests and an MRI showing all normal results. As a result of short-term memory issues, I have had several panic attacks and feelings of depression. I changed my routine to exercising and sleeping healthily, but the fog remained.

It is starting to feel hopeless. Is there an amount of time before the inflammation dissipates? I have also changed my diet and started supplements such as fish oil and turmeric. Is there anything further that could help?

I also started therapy, but I genuinely think depression and anxiety come from inflammation.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I can understand your concern.

When the blood tests and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) have shown all normal results, we can rule out inflammation. This is most likely due to work stress. Carry on with the therapy.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
